Well, in the morning I put the research in the foreground. Because today is the big welcome party.
In the morning I also met Kato and his student Ito. Our two topics are very interconnected, but I asked for a little more patience.
After that, though, I went with the guys on a procurement round. There I talked a lot with one of the students, Ishibari, and meanwhile I saw that procurement and student life aren’t really any different in Japan and in Hungary.
The evening party
The evening party, though, went in a very wild direction. For one, everyone got a bit drunk. I told a lot about harcsapaprikás (catfish paprika stew), about catfish, and about Hungarian food. One of them, Akira, was very enthusiastic; I told him a great deal about Hungarian things, and of course — if he’s ever around this way, he should drop by.
At the end of the day, though, I sat down with the guys to play Smash Bros. And I also introduced the Moflin to the Kato lab’s own moflin. The moflin’s name became Gombóc.
